"This was an epic journey in search of the mysterious secret resting place of the infamous and revered Genghis Khan. Travelling off-road from the Capital, Ulan Bator, I followed a trail across the Steppes up into the wilderness of the Khentii Province where we discovered a wealth of incredible subjects including nomadic herdsmen, traditional wrestlers and the largest horse statue in the world.
The beautiful desolation, vastness and mysterious atmosphere of the landscape along with the vibrant and welcoming traditions of the Mongolian people were inspiring and contrasted sharply with the legacy of war, revolution and the ever increasing commercialisation of this ancient land."
