Morgan set out on an adventure road across Tasmania from it’s capital, Hobart, up the East coast to the Northern reaches of the island, in search of the Tasmanian Tiger roaming the wilds.
The tiger trail took him to some remote places - rainforests, barren wilderness, seemingly deserted towns and for Morgan it was like travelling back in time. The landscape was stunning, but seemed prehistoric; the animals were unfamiliar, the towns felt like they were from a time long forgotten and the people, well, they were a law unto themselves.
Morgan describes Tasmania as being a cross between ‘Springwatch and Prisoner Cell Block H!’ And the shots he took very much seem to capture this combination of beauty and unsettling eeriness.
